Red Alert!

Just back from the hospital. A whole bunch of tests done on my health and they indicate risks. Risks that I need to attend to immediately. Hence this blog space will see a change. It will still be about food yet food that helps weight loss. I plan to maintain a log of this effort.

I have signed up for a tracking of  intake calories for 7 days. Post this will take an appointment with the nutritionist to plan for a weight loss diet.

Hope this inspires more people to have a healthy life and not wait like me till the RED ALERT.

Cheer me on.

  2. Anjali, I hope it's nothing that has an immediate impact. I understand that weight loss is important and should be attended to without delay, and I'm sure you'll succeed. Just wanted to make sure it's nothing serious. Let me know if there's anything I can do, ok? And all the best!

  9. I lost 40 pounds when I was on chemo therapy. It was at the rate of 2 1/2 pounds a week. I could not eat very much, I hated the taste of sugar in anything, and I only ate organic food. My favorite foods were hot oatmeal with some dried cherries and chopped walnuts for breakfast and a glass of grapefruit juice. Lunch was not much because I had to make it myself, and I didn't care. The best was leftover Lebanses food. And my favorite dinner was always Lebanese food, the meze. The tebouleh and tatziki were my most favorite, and they were both tart. I know that losing weight is hard. Good luck.
